$#!@%*& - The Sequel!!!

The more damage the car takes means the less damage the passenger takes. I'm guessing the IS was designed such that in the event of accidents the car will absorb most of the force. Perhaps this explains why your car was so messed up compared to the other 2 cars. This is just my theory anyway.

That really sux Javy! Just curious, but whose insurance covers the cars in front of you? I've been in a few rear end collisions in the past and if I recall once, my insurance had to pay for the damage that my car did the the car in front of me. Justification was that I was technically too close the car in front of me. I was like WTH!?

this just confirms my belief of implementing harder driving tests to obtain licenses. such as the one in germany. too many dumb people are on the road because of our bs testing
I hope you get your back checked out and it's ok. I've been in a couple accidents and I can tell you that you won't be the same if you don't take care of your spine after an impact like that.

Wondering the same thing. Are you responsibile for hitting the car in front of you (car X) and car X responsible for hitting that car in front of them (car Y) or is the Honda CRV responsible for you hitting you, car X, and car Y?

Man, sorry to hear about that. Not sure if it's been mentioned, but I think the reason your car sustained more damage is probably becuase it's lower. I think the IS is lower than a saturn to begin with but yours is lowered even more so instead of hitting the saturn flush with the bumper, your grill area took the brunt of the impact.

The one that hit Javier is responsible for everything...my mom was in an accient similar to this one, and the one that rear ended her, was at fault for causing the pile up. Even if Javy's insurance has to pay for the car he hit in front due to the hit from the back from the CRV, his insurance will get the money from the CRV insurance and Javy won't be responsible for it...

someone almost did the same thing to me...this ford truck was having difficulty in stop and go traffic... then when the traffic finally picked up yo 40mph it came to a halt and i see this the truck approaching fast... i was like *sigh* cause I couldn't move over lanes but luckily the truck while breaking swerved out of lane and avoided me...
