Hi there i am new to the forum, and hopefully it will be a long lasting one if i can get the lexus is250 awd at a good price.

I am in the Toronto Area so recommendations from my fellow Canadian drivers and especially the ones in ONtario would be much appreciated.

I have a price of 51k and some change cdn for the car which includes the luxury package + navi.

I went onto car cost canada and the retail price is 37,600 base+ 11900 lux w/ navi + 1780 freight = 51,280. The whole sale price was 34,291 base + 10106 lux w/ navi + 1780 frieght = 46,177

I was trying to get him to go even 1k under the retail 51,280 but he wouldnt move it. This was a demo show room model and it has 9000 km, geeze no wiggle room with that? I have known this sales guy for a long time, but it seems like he wont budge. I am going to put 3k down for deposit and he said he would waive the freight and pdi because the dealer paid for it to be a dealer car to go on test drives etc. I wanted a monthly payment of around mid 500$ a month for lease 48 months taxes in. I woud get a 3.2% interest rate. He has been quoting me around 750$ amonth cdn taxes in, is this too high? Can this be done for around mid 500$? How much are you guys getting off the price of a canadian car? And what are the lease monthly payments have you been getting for 48 month lease?

Any tips to try to get a lower price. I realize now this guy is playing hardball so on monday im going to other dealerships to see if i can get a better deal

Oh btw, i orginally had placed 3k to pay for freight pdi etc on a is 250 Rwd with leather and moonroof package. The colours that im looking for (white on grey interior) will not be available until late july early aug. He keeps on telling me that this was a deposit whereby i say no its a payment for a car to reasonably be delivered soon like in a couple of weeks. I want my 3000 deposit. Can i get it back, he's saying that i can get 1k back im thinking hells no. I was not under the impression i was paying for a deposit but more a paymentfor the new car stuff (air tax, gas tax etc), and when i purchased it he made us sign without explaining everything we where signing for until after i looked at the contract. If he doesnt give my money back can i dispute this with my credit card company for the deposit as i was not fully aware of the details of the car lease as well the car is not available for another 4-5 months!!! That is why i asked him about the is250 awd in my first comments above.

any help would be much appricated!!
