Anyone interested in going to the April 13th small event for the IS-F at Route 66 Dragstrip in Joliet, IL? I received an invite from Lexus of Orland and I am sure they will do a smoke show. I was advised that the following week, their is another IS-F test drive event. I am going to find out if this is a test drive event as well. It will be held in the parking lot, so I am sure no formal invite is required. It will be set in action on the autocross track as well. Can be a great excuse to hide from the wife or GF for a bit. I posted this in the non-IS-F forum because it applies to us non-IS-F owners.

I was told By McGrath Lexus that there is an event where they will allow us to drive the ISF. They told me after seeing my car they said I shouldnt have any issues driving the car and they are going to be picky on who the let drive? I dont know. I have to go there and fill out something i believe. They told me about it when they linked my 2nd set of TPMS to the car. Sounds like its worth going to check out.

I highly recommend getting your butt in an F. I had a blast driving it. Much better seats, transmission and handling (including much better steering weight and feedback). The suspension needs some fine tuning, but it is a 8.5/10 for the first effort from Lexus. I just hope they sell enough so that the whole F line won't be scrapped.

Please keep us informed of anything you find out and how to get on this list. I bought my IS at McGrath Lexus in Westmont and haven't heard anything about seeing or driving the IS-F. Depending on where and when Lexus is hosting this, I may be able schedule some time to see the beast.

You might be able to meet Passnu2 and I there on one of the two weekends. I don't think they will turn down a Lexus owner. It will be safer to register in advance, probably this week. PM me if you like.
