I'm not questioning or accusing you of anything but that looks like a blue overlay. Look at how flush it is with the chrome trim around the shifter.

On another note, it Lexus-Parts.com not working for anyone else or is it just me?

......mine looks the same as Pocky's so how do u figure? Its painted, I actually scratched the paint on the center dash piece pretty bad so they had to repaint the whole part again. You can smell the paint when you get into the car But thats fine, you can think what you want. Like solo said (and she knows) with the amount of money ive spent on my car im not gonna cheap out and get an overlay kit. Not to mention the paint on the inside is the same color as my exterior paint which is a custom made House of Kolor mix...

Pocky, in the first pic i posted you can see the 2 pieces to the left and right of the shifter below the radio are now black. Here is another pic that shows an angle where you can see the black handles and the black pieces below the radio on the center console part:

Hey trinityhk,

How much did it cost you to paint the trims?

Trinity, not like BLACK black right? They look gunmetally? haha

Pocky's trims look better in person than in pictures. They're more piano black with a hint of pearl.

Its actually flat black, the reflection kinda makes it look gray though

Well, if anyone is going to buy this kit.... please let me know first. I have all the window switches, the center cup holder and the ashtray(my center console doesnt have the heated seats, so you will have to buy that)

I am willing to trade my stuff + a 2006/07/08 GS ML amplifier for your wood trim.

The GS amp doesnt have the same connectors as the IS, so someone would have to know what they are doing in order to use it.

I say paint or buy the OEM. I am not impressed with the fitment of my Silver CF overlays. Looks much better then the wood IMO but i wouldn't recommend it to others.

Like I said, I don't mean to accuse or start anything. It was just an observation. I'm not doubting how much you spent on the car, it just looks like an overlay to me. Liks I said, the colored trim looks real flush with the chrome trim by the shifter. Maybe the paint was pretty think that it raised it by a millimeter or so and made it flush, I don't know but I know that the chrome trim is suppose to be a bit higher than the wood trim. That's all. No hard feelings

^^ The chrome bezel basically has to be broken off / removed for the painting process....

... so i bet when it gets re-attached with expoxy or glue or whatever, it will end up sitting lower than originally.

But, I do see what your saying in one of the pics the chrome bezel is lower than the console piece.
