Question Help needed: Center console cup holder door

The little door/flap in the center console that hides the center cup holder is not opening completely, its supposed to do a 45 degrees movement, but its only doing like 30. I noticed that there is a compartment were the door hides when its opened and maybe something got stuck in there (a coin maybe), but I can’t reach inside of that part.

I tried to remove that part of the console, but it’s attached with the armrest. Anybody have a diagram on how to disassemble this part of the console?

Thanks,

Thanks,

Did you mean that it's supposed to do a 90-degree movement, rather than a 45-degree?

Most likely a coin. That happened to me once. I just opened and closed the door until i could reach the coin.

Thanks,
i believe either the nav hack thread or the overlay thread will show the removal process. but what i would try first is shine a flash light down there and move it slowly to see if you can find the source. Maybe tweezers or something small will allow you to remove whatever is in there? IMO better to do this then take it apart!

Also, you could use a high powered wet vac andd succk the coin out that could be contributing to the door not opening fully. It is a quick trick that will save you the time of removing the consol. As the vacumn is on, I would wiggle the door a bit to free up the coin and promote the release.
