need to vent a little...
so i was browsing and i cam across a 4.0l with the 1gr-fe engine ( same family as our IS, but closest to the mid east version (3gr-fe)). Anyway i was at the TRD website and i saw a supercharger for the FJ cruiser, why oh why havnt they developed one for the IS? And im not jsut talkin about TRD, I know the is250/350 has quite high compression but the fj cruiser has 10.0:1 while the is300 a similar compression ratio, 10.5:1 . Im so pissed off !!! that could have been a 60hp that i would have greatly benefited from
is there anyway way some modification can be done to the TRD supercharger to make it work for the 2nd gen IS300? (theoretically)
stupid question i know but im desperate for some power

I am surprised TRD did not produce one for the 2gen yet, maybe Toyota wants the F-Sport line to be exclusive for the 2Gen only? It is possible that the F-Sport line will produce one.

It would be cheaper and easier to just buy an IS350 instead of putting a blower on the 250. The cost of the system, plus installation, and tuning... for 40hp less than a stock 350... think about it.

i believe toyotas trying to keep trd exclusive to toyota models. even though lexus is toyotas luxury line of vehicles, theyre coming out with f-sport to sell parts specifically for lexus vehicles. considering theres F-inspired vehicles in the works, itd be odd to buy a car labeled with "F" but have to purchase trd parts. enthusiasts may not find it too odd, but consider lexus' market, they probably will

our 3gr-fe engine (middle East market) has a compression ratio of 10.5:1, which gives me alot of hope for any company that wants to try and supercharge our engine, they could run a higher boost safer than they could on a 250/350. BUT because the engine is exlusive to the M.E. market and China its highly doubtful that anyone will produce a supercharger for us. COME ON TOMS!!!!
ill gladly take that 60 hp, couple that with a free flowing exhaust joe z pipe and some headers and id probably be able to take u stock 350 guys lol.

Yes i have the 2007 is300 (Engine: 3gr-fe) you guys have the 2gr-fse/4gr-fse.
unfortunatly its not even the v6 300 engine from the GS as that one has both port and direct injection. Middle East spec IS300 annd GS300 engines are similar to that US spec GS300 engine but wtihout direct injection.
