Default sparkplugs

has anyone changed theirs out? if so what kind?

Nobody has. They are good for 100k miles.

To early to start thinking about changing them.

No. They are supposed to be replaced @ 60k. DON'T use anything aside from OEM plugs. These plugs are unique for this model.

What do you mean by the plugs being unique for the car????

We'll,

The gen 1's used Denso Iridium and reccomended a change at 60k. Using anything else (bascially anything cheaper, any of those crap 4 head Bosch, hotter plugs, copper plugs etc) will make a negative impact on the car. Trust me, I know this for a fact. I changed my OEM plugs on my gen one because the dealer wanted $600. It was a 3 1/2 hour job by myself, but so worth it (OEM plugs). I waited till 80k, and when the change was done, the car drove so much better. Always stick stock on these very sensitive cars for under the hood components.

Thanks for the info, i am far from that point was just curious to know.

hmm ok. i was just curious just reading into stuff and i didnt realize our engines were soo so sensitive. thanks for the info.
