wtf? random tire just sittin there in the freeway? amazing. I'm glad I dun live where you live. my experience is freeway cleaning/ street cleaning has always been done in the bay area so i haven't run into that problem yet. but I'm with everyone when they say time to get aftermarket kit

Yeah. I was behind a big-rig and changed lanes while accelerating. I only noticed the tire when I was on my way to the other lane, and I would have hit the truck if I returned to the lane, or would have been in the next lane if I tried to swerve around it.
I would rather cause damage to my own car than to get others involved. As soon as I saw it, I just thought "Oh well...".

I remember once there was a tire bouncing off of cars and it hit my car smack in the grille, left a large black dent on the hood and a cracked grille. Those tires are not to be messed around with. Back then, no grille other than stock to replace it with :[ I agree, perfect time to get a new lip :]
