Wheel Size/Offset Help?
I want to stay close to the stock size wheels and stay with stock height. I want the stock size on the front (225/40/18 on and 8" rim) but would like to, maybe, go with a lower offset.
On the rear I want to use 275/35/18 (which is less then 1/2" smaller in diameter then the stock 26") on a 9 or 9.5" rim. A 9.5" rim is recommended but I prefer not to stretch the tire and have a little more sidewall near the rim edge, so I was thinking 9". Also I would like to lower the offset.
I would appreciate any thoughts/ideas/recommendations since this is new to me. There are several reasons why I want to stay close to stock specs. I have had a lot of experience with motorcycle wheels and come to the conclusion that staying as close to the manufactures' design specs will result in the best performance.
