Default Laying wires from Glovebox to Trunk.

Hey everyone. I need to run some wires for my DVB-T antenna from my glovebox compartment to the trunk at the back. Can anyone please advise me on how I can run these wires possibly under carpet or something. I dont want to be able to see any wires visible.

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated

Thanks

just take off the door sills and run it under the carpet. that should get you from the glovebox to the rear seat where you may need to remove the seat to pass the wire thru into the trunk. do a few searches on removal of these and you are good to go. i know there has also been a few removals of the glovebox recently and last i can recall someone removed the vent and installed wires and i believe the iPod conversion.

this should be a pretty easy thing to do. you just need to take this stuff off and go with it. all these items will remove pretty easy.

good luck and post pics when done!

Thanks for your reply.

I know how to remove the glovebox and i've done that to install the DVB-T tuner. But in regards to taking off the door sills, do you mean the rubber sills that go around on top of the door? or do you mean the sills that run along the carpet edge? Isnt the Illuminated scuff plate going to cause problem? Can you tell me how this sill and stuff can be removed? is it simple pull out?

your welcome!

Yes the sills that run the floor. They pop out very easy! the fronts do have the plug but you can unplug if you need more room. i have done this on many cars in the past to install stereo equipment. just push the wires down far enough (usually you can find the mass wire harness that runs down there and feed it right along with that). probably take you 10 minutes to do this part.

for the rear seat?? you may have to remove it to run them clean? for this i would look in the trunk first to find where there is a pass that will be close to where you are feeding the wires. you may get lucky and not have to remove the seat and still hide the wires and push them with your hand so no one will ever see them. the less you take apart they better IMO. less chance for rattles and all that stuff.

here is a link on the sills i found....if you see the wires as in the pics from this post, run your wires in there and use the tabs so they hold in.
