07 to 08 interior change on cashmere
I noticed that the interior on the cashmere car is different from 07 to 08. Any reason why this happened?

Well--certainly the black carpets are easier to keep clean. My interior is gray, and it always had the black carpets--I really like the gray/black combo.

My 08 cashmere still has cashmere carpet. It was changed mid-cycle after the first few batches of cars were built.
Personally I'm not a fan of the black carpet with tan leather, so I'm happy I got mine before the change (and would've been unhappy if it has just shown up w/black carpet after I'd ordered it with tan).
No issue keeping mine clean so far, but I'm pretty careful not to get in the car with muddy boots or anything

It was a cleaning issue. Some people purchased the "cleaning warranty" for the interior. It was harder to get the carpets back to the original color. The warranty was not profitable an more if the owners kept bringing it back every 6 months to have the carpet cleaned.
I have the all weather floor mats so i dont have that much to worry except for what the mats dont cover.

I've got cashmere carpet. The dealer shampoos my mats for me and it's as good as new until I mess it up again. The black mats kinda.....ruin it for me personally.
BTW, don't forget about that snazzy coin holder! =P

I would like to reccomend the all-season Lexus mats, they are worth every penny. I was ruining my drivers carpeted mat until I bought these. I may keep them in all year round. They really trap the dirt and other debris. Plus, they don't look that bad. Has the fancy Lexus logo and fits perfectly being OEM. No slippage with the "I" clip and studded backing.
