Default No Camber Kit = Severe Wear

Anyone familiar with any camber kits being released yet? What do you folks do to control wear on the rear tires. I have a staggered set of 19" Racing Harts. The front wasn't too bad but the rears took a beating. I had the tires flipped once at 17,000 miles and again at 30,000. After the second flip i have retired my rims till I can afford new tires. Attached is a pic. The rear is really feathered and a soft spot even developed.

I make a post in the suspension and brake section regarding an adjustable rear camber kit.

You have a better picture that shows the wear relative to the rest of the tire? From the pic you posted the tire is just about down to the wear bar so its just about worn out.30k miles isn't too bad

That is exactly what I was thinking. What is the wear rating on a Nitto 555, I'm seeing everything from 300 down to 80? I don't think I would attribute the wear to "camber problems".

30000 is very very good, the stock tires that come with our cars are only rated for 15,000, IMO all high performance tires have horrible wear, but thats the price we pay for sexiness!!!

hahaha Complaining with 30k on the tires? You do realize that is like 2 for most or 3 sets for some people here, right?

Anyway, a better pic might help. I was also wondering about tire wear issues with lowered ISs; one of the reason we've held off on lowering my gf's for the time being...

I never thought of it that way, 30K miles on low profile tires is actually pretty good. What I was looking at is I believe these tires could have gotten more mileage if the camber wasn't an issue. The center of the tire looks good, only the outer portion is bad.

Your point is well taken, if camber were perfect you might have got another 5k-8k out of them, but you did the best you could for this application. You had them swapped to the other rim right to left when they first started showing the problem, and that effectively extended the usable life of them considerably already. From that picture they still look usable but it is hard to judge from a picture.

Tires first flipped at 17,000 miles, then again at 30,000 miles. Total of 47,000 miles! That is exceptional! I would not complain about that for one second. I'm lucky if I get 15,000-20,000 miles out of any of my tires.

Sorry for the confusion, but this is an odometer reading of 30K.
