As the title states. How far have you gone after your "Approx Mileage" indicated went to 0?

Yesterday I went 12 miles (city driving) after I filled up. The needle seemd to be underneath the "E" mark too. Seems like the needle drops really quick when you have 1/4 gas left.

So how far have you guys gone?

Running low on fuel is supposedly not good for your injector system I ve heard you pull debris into your injection so I d try not to drive with low fuel

That "debris" that you are refering to would be left over **** from your gas. I don't think build of that is any good either.

I've gone over 20. I'm assuming that there is about a 2 gallon reserve. I've fueled up and have been able to get more than 17 gallons in there. Granted, up to the neck. But if there is a 2 galloon reserve, then you should be able to get about 50 miles after it goes to 0. Anyone know how big the reserve actually is?

yea, i've gone 20-30 miles after hitting 0. I know its at least 2 gallons left once the mile hits 0 since it fills up around 15 gallon and the manual says the tank is 17.2 or something. so i wouldn't recommend going over 40-50 miles after it hits 0 depending on the mpg you are getting on your IS

Mine was at 25.2 miles after it was at 0 when the car turned itself off as I ran out of fuel. But I was driving mostly in the city so now I know for sure and it won't happen again...

There's a great Seinfeld episode about this where Kramer drives around a testdrive car from dealer and see how much further he could go without a fillup. Giddyup!!!

Hahaha!!! I love that too. Especially my gf when she gets all crazy and starts to hit me and tells me to go to any gas station.

probably close to 45 miles.

During the summer, I average about 26 mpg (mostly highway commute) and I figure that I could still get another 5 miles or so before coughing on fumes.
