I ordered my IS 350 on 11/15/07 and the dealer said they were placing the factory order on 11/20/07. If you ordered your IS from the factory, how long did it take? My dealer told me 90 days but I'm hoping that is slightly over-estimated.

I searched the forums several times trying to find a thread on this but had no luck. I'm getting tired of walking to work

I would say that 90 days is on the low side of the estimate; there have been cases of 6 months before.

From what I've read,I'd say 4 months is the average waiting time.

My order took exactly 4 months, but it was a part of the first batch of 08's

Anything thats 6 months + is a dealer screw up....

My Special Order went in on 6/20/07 and was told approx. 3 months..

I got my 08' on 9/13/07.. So it took exactly 2 months & 3 weeks..

As long as the dealer has an allocation to give up for a Special Order it should take no longer than 3-4 months TOPS..

Ordered my '06 in Oct. '05. (can't remember the exact date) Took delivery 89 days later.

well, looks like 56 down and 34 to go if I'm lucky. I'm pretty sure the dealer gave up an allocation for my special order. A friend of mine ordered a BMW from the factory in Germany and it was here in 4 weeks. shrug :/

Yup, my BMW, one of the first 6k e90's in '05, arrived in a little over a month. It just isn't something that Lexus is very good at yet.
