I suggest asking the person you sold the rims to send them to you. If that doesn't work, then buy some new ones. What other choice would you have? You can read up about the tacoma ones, if they are cheaper, then go for those.

or you can just put a piece of black electrical tape over the light in your dash if its that distracting...

If you cannot get your TPMS back and you decide to get new ones, you're going to have to go to the dealer and sync them with your car-I'm not sure how much that will cost.

Sorry for reviving an old thread but are people still going this route? Apart from the original poster is there anyone that has successfully made one of these?

More importantly, has anyone made one with a new set of sensors? How do you get the dealer to program the sensors without having them mounted on your rims/tires?

i think getting the adapters either from I-Forged or Marcato is better? unless you're really really stretching your tires until you can't even fit the sensors in

i didnt wanna make another one of these threads n then getting flamed to use search but leaving them anywhere in the car without making that bomb would get rid of the warning lights as well? Or would they hafta be constantly sensing air, like in that pipe bomb?

LOL at first I also thought u guys were planning on nuking beamers.

So you can just make one of these "TPMS bombs" throw it in your trunk and problem solved? Or do you have to make four of them since you have four wheels with censors? Also if you just buy a new TPMS sensor to do this mod will it work right away or does it have to be linked up to a individual car somehow?

Great DIY! Mine has a "Property of Bomb Squad" decal attached. This is the best way to get rid of the annoying "CHECK TIRE" idiot light....though the black electrical tape over the display works too!!

I keep thinking of what would happen if you tried to cross the border with one of these in your trunk! I think it would pretty much guarantee a cavity search!
