Default Jeans color fade onto my leather??

So i do realize this probably belongs in the car and detailing section but i thought other owners would like to know that ... i had my car for 4 months and I'm already seeing problem with my leather...because it turning tan/cashmere to blue the color of my jeans..the section of the seat that turns blue is near the back 1 inch from the back rest.....I ask around and my other friends had this same problem in his 5 series after 2 years...

I had that problem with a light gray and light tan interior. Also happened with dress pants at times.I sat on a towel.
No more light leather interiors for me.

Wash your jeans and get the left over blue dye out of them. Best advice I can give... but then again that sucks because the jeans will look old. lol

If you have a tan/cashmere interior, theres no way to avoid it if you wear jeans, especially dark jeans. Your best bet is use a leather cleaner that puts a coat of protection on them so it doesn't settle directly to the leather. Then have a leather wipes handy on your car or something and give it a quick wipe once a stain appears. It should come off pretty easily.

I also have a tan interior and wear jeans almost on a daily basis when i go out and it doesn't really show enough stains until about 3-4 weeks, thats when i give it a quick wipe down. As long as you don't let it set for a long time, it should come off pretty easily.

I wanted tan and silver leather.

Reading this post I'm glad I went with black.

I remember at the Auto show a few weeks ago all the cars that had tan leather interior had jean stains on them. It looked pretty bad too.

Start buying cheap jeans to wear for driving because aslong as you wear any high quality jeans (Sevens, TR, Citzens, Diesels) you will have that problem. I had the same problem when I first got the car and I called Lexus corp. and had them change the bottom of the seat for free. Try that or just shampoo and condition it every weekend.
