any downsides to drilling a whole in your head light to install a drl module if done correctly?(meaning sealed the hole as good as possible)

I did a search but I couldn't find a step-by-step with pics. If anyone knows the link pls link me. I'm gonna attempt to do this soon. One of my LED parking lights burnt out after 8 months I had someone help me before, but now I want to try doing it myself.

I've gotta say, mikeho has the best DIY writeup ever. I'm a n00b when it comes to electrical stuff... and was able to tackle this myself by following the instructions to the T. Thanks mike!

Probably one of the easiest mods I have ever done. Took me about 20 minutes. I found the passenger side/intake side was much easier than the driver/windshield wiper fluid side. I thought I had big hands apparently not as I didn't need to take anything out except driver side. Take your time when putting back the black covers and make sure they line up.

I didn't want to do this mod but my fiance said no to the 2012 LED headlight conversion.
