Has anyone been able to get a good paint match for this color for just repainting parts of the car?

It is killing me watching my hood get beaten to a pulp by rock chips and bug splatters that I don't get in time, but the guy who does some detail work for my car (who seems to know his *****) says that no one will be able to match the flake in this paint. He says if I want to get something repainted or touched up, I will probably need to repaint the whole car. Is this true?

There's so many little scratches and dings around the car that I want to get taken care of...
