lol i think most these guys are right, def is just a lack of power. but im getting pretty used to my 250, i wish it had more but i wont die. (i refuse to test drive a 350, i'd rather not know what im missing out on haha). but it fits me fine, imho idk why every one says the backseats r too small. i think they feel fine, but granted i just carry around a bunch of asian girls, who dont break 5'6 or 5'7 often

I'm the same, I refuse to test drive a IS350 or even get one as a loaner. I bought the awd is250 for a reason, the Canadian winter can be brutal, so i need something that's both luxury and good on snow, and of course realiable (that's why I choose the is250 vs. the G35x vs. the 328xi). How ever, I wouldn't mind to add more power to it.

Let's talk about FUNCTION:
The IS350 is fast and sporty. The IS250 isn't fast, but it does live up to its "sports sedan" nameplate. If you don't need sporty, the IS is NOT your car.
The IS is a two seater car. It's a four seater when necessary, but tight. It's a five seater when riding with anorexic models, or people going through chemotherapy. If you don't need the cabin room, the IS is NOT your car.
The trunk can fit many bags of groceries, or a couple of golf bags, or luggage for two/three people. It cannot fit big boxes, small furniture, nor long objects. If you need more trunk space, the IS is NOT for you.
Finally, the IS is filled with luxury amenities that rival its competitors. If you can live with a little less luxury, you can definately save a LOT of money WITHOUT the IS.

I'm going to disagree with the last point--he said he was looking for AWD. Unless you are going to step down to a Subaru Legacy or Impreza, there's not that many AWD sedans out there that are significantly less than the 250 AWD. I got mine in May for just over $36K, with nav and lux pkg. You are not going to save much money by buying an Audi A4, BMW 328xi, or Infiniti G35x. Maybe you can find a great discount on a Jag X-Type or a Volvo S40, but there's a reason you'd be able to get them on the cheap.

having small rear seats is a plus for some like me... some people don't like driving a bulky car especially if they mainly just drive themselves...

actually before I purchased the is250 awd, i also priced the a4, 328xi, and g35x, they are all few thousand cheaper than the is250, on a same level option basis. i stick to the is purely for the brand and realiability.
