Basically, if there are multiple complaints about something about a number of vehicles, Lexus can create a TSIB to address it.

People complained about brake dust and a vibrating rearview mirror, so Lexus voluntarily created a fix for it for free under warranty.

The only mandatory TSIB are ones that compromise safety. Otherwise, cosmetic things such as those are little "I'm Sorry"s from Lexus...

If you want to get your brake pads changed, just ask your dealer about a TSIB for alternate brake pads.

You can get it done as soon as possible, or wait until you really need to replace them. Might as well save some $$ if it's not that detrimental...

I hear that the brakes that replace your standard ones arent as responsive though, so is it really worth it?

Keep an eye on this:

Brake TSIB Afterthoughts Thread

A majority of members do not find the new brake pads to be less responsive, especially for the IS350. Theoretically, it actually is better, with better braking capability without the dust...

.....or, in some cases, it's something that isn't serious enough to warranty a recall, but will be automatically fixed, repaired or replaced at your next service appointment, and you didn't even know about it.

It will NOT be automatically fixed, you have to ask the dealer, most of the time they dont even know there is a new TSIB

Where is there a list of these?

I remember reading about the brake one when I was getting ready to buy a 2007. Don't they make that something that they've fixed on the 2008?
