Default TPMS and Work Wheels

I just got my Work Rezax II wheels..Took them to the local tire dealer who was going to do the tire and TPMS swap. After dismounting one of tires from the stock wheel they told me that the sensors won't work on the Work wheels.

Anybody else run into this issue or have a solution that will leave the TPMS working?

Wow, you dropped all that coin on Rezax rims and didn't know it wasn't tpms compatible ? (shame, shame) Check out iForged or search this forum, I recall seeing some adapters made by iForged that members have used to utilize tpms sensors with aftermarket rims. Good luck.

I guess I relied too much on the guy selling them! Can they be banded?

How is it a shame? Who cares if it is TPMS compatible or not, there are MANY alternatives for that problem.

I decided to go with the banding rather than the I Forged or other type of adapter. Has anyone had bad experience with properly installed banding???

Will post some pics once installed..

I've had my TPMS banded to the inside of my Volk wheels for almost 2 years with no problems at all.

do you really need them in your wheels at all? I mean you have been driving since you were 16 without them. Just do the pipe bomb trick. That way you are not dropping money on banding nor the iforged. I guess the pipe materials will cost you around 20bucks.

Banding is pretty cheap..$50 plus the tire install which I have to pay for anyways. Sure I don't need them..but with the price of tires and the easy damage that can happen to a wheel when a tire is flat..Its well worth it.

When I was 16 my 71 Toyota PU has something like E 78x14 bias ply tires that probalby cost about $40..Tires for the IS are $200+

I also don't need 300+ HP..but I got it!

I had sensors banded on my Volks. They eventually came loose, inside the wheel. Obviously the sensor didnt fare to well rolling around in there

I have a set of Work CR2P's and my dealer asked me when placing the order if I had or planned to use TPMS. Since I did they drilled a second set of holes in the back of the wheel where a standard valve stem and TPMS are fitted. The front valve is a 90-degree stem which is functional and way more aesthetically pleasing. 'm not familiar with the banding process but have to imagine that something can be done.

Work Wheels also sell TPMS L Shape Adapter Sets

This is what I am using to mount my TMPS inside my Work CR2P wheels.
