Default Need a cheap and good Nav for around 200ish

Does anyone know where I can get a navigation system that's cheap and good? Preferably around 200ish or so. (If I buy my IS250 again I woulda get it with nav )

Any navigation under $200 is purely junk...inaccurate...lacks features... just a waste of money...many of my friends tried to save money going cheap but it ended up being a big mistake... if you are going to get a navigation that you can rely on/use try upwards of $1000-$1200

aw too bad. A cheap nav was on Woot.com a couple of days ago.

I haven't shopped for them lately, but we bought the in-laws a Magellan because it was a tad more user friendly than a Garmin. But either of those are really good. Check CNet.com for reviews. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

I work in outside industrial sales so I rely heavily on a GPS along with the poi function.

I have the Magellan Roadmate 2000, and have never had an issue with it. Bought about 6 months ago for 199

inexexisten - I think that was the case a couple of years ago. But now you can get one for much less. The price going up is often just tied to the size of the screen (or so I've been told.)

Alex Roy from Polizei 144 uses a Garmin 2650

ML dash nav is so much cleaner though, I don't know why everyone thinks they are so pointless when they are buying the car, only to find out later that they are indeed pretty awesome. I wish lexus made a nav install as easy as Audi. My friend bought a B6 A4 with no nav, 500 dollars later he had a factory nav system that he just popped right in where the old audio system was, and it looks stock. ANDD he gets to say he has a nav from a gallardo : P

Ya same here, I called them up before and they said its gonna be too many wiring so they dont' do it. They should have thought about putting all the wires in and once someone needs a nav they can just pop it right in... that makes Lexus more Lexus :P

I paid $219 in July at Costco for a Magellan Roadmate 2200T and I am still very happy with it. I downloaded the latest firmware to it as soon as I got it home - the firmware update seems to solve the problems that the early ones had.

Unlike the 2000, the 2200T includes Canada which I need. I even did a "semi-permanent" install in my Lexus and bought an extra power cord and cradle for when I use it in rental cars. It's a little light on POIs but I usually use it for finding known addresses. I downloaded a number of custom POI files to an SD card which I put in the Magellan's card slot. You can find POI files on lots of websites.

The flat screen Garmins are very good too but, at the time, one with the features of the 2200T would have cost me well over twice as much.

I've had the Garmin C330 in rental cars a few times, and have been very impressed with its features and performance. I've seen it online for not much more than $200.
