If you build the IS or look under pricing and option, auto-folding is not one of them... so I guess its messed up

It's listed as a STD feature, not an option--it must be a mistake. They wouldn't be "auto" folding, right? They'd be "power" folding--wouldn't you have to set them to fold??

some cars auto-fold mirrors when you lock the car. Might be the case.

The North American version of the IS does not have power folding mirrors. If you want your mirrors to fold, you have to do it the old fashioned way: get out of your car and push hard on the back of the mirrors towards the doors to fold them in. This is similar to the IS having side turn markers which again does not exist on the North American model, but on overseas versions only. I'm sure it's possible to add these things, but our cars do not come with any of the control wiring, so I doubt it's plug and play like say the illuminated scuff plates.

what i have in my gulf spec IS is a button that folds the mirrors electronically,

is that what the site means or do they fold when the car is put on P ?

It might not be listed but I think it comes with it, may be with the luxury package. My ls430 has folding mirrors.

i would expect this option to be on every other lexus vehicle before its on the IS.

our family's GS350 has folding mirror, I think it was standard on the GS350.
