Default Seat belt buzzer problem

Sometimes when I drop off a passenger and drive off, the seat belt buzzer starts beeping even though there is no one in the seat and there is nothing on the seat. The beeping stays on and becomes faster until it eventually turns off after a few seconds. Is there a problem with the seat pressure sensors? Has anyone else had this problem? I have tried several times to shut off the seat belt buzzer using the instructions in the FAQ from this forum but it does not work.

Don't think weight is the problem since it stays on even when I have skinny passengers.

does the seatbelt buzzer turn on while they are still in the car and then stay on after they get out? If that's the case that is normal but if they leave the seatbelt on until you stop then release it get out and as you drive away it starts to beep then that is a problem.

happens to me all the time. Usually, my passenger unbuckles right before i come to a complete stop, causing the dinging to start. Just rebuckle and release the belt and it stops. annoying, i know.

You can disable the seatbelt buzzer completely... Do a search, check the FAQ, etc...

I know I tried disabling it several times and it didn't work. I'll try it again.

I disabled mine. Do a search. It's really easy to disable the seatbelt buzzer. You won't be able to disable the seatbelt warning light though which is a good thing.

Why is it a good thing? I find it annoying to have the seatbelt light blinking when my car is in PARK.

It's a good thing because it reminds me and my front passenger that the seat belt is off. It only warns you when you have a passenger. I'd rather have a blinking light that get a ticket. Click it or ticket.

BTW I always wear a seatbelt. The buzzing sound I was referring to was for the front passenger.
