Default What loaner car did you get from Lexus?

I was hoping to get IS350, ES350 or RX330 loaner from all the stories people tell here. Well to my surprise they let me choose between a:

KIA Sorento
Hyundai Accent
Ford Mustang

Of course I picked the 2006 Ford Mustang V6 Convertible (red/tan). Apparently there entire Lexus Loaner Fleet is being used so Hertz provided them with backup. Jesus Christ, the Mustang is an abomination compared to my Lexus! I think the Lexus Service Center did this on purpose so we appreciate our cars even more.

Not sure what stories you've been hearing, but in SoCal the typical Lexus loaner fleet is ES350s & RX350s . . .

I usually get a ES350, RX350, IS250. Sewell has one or two RX 400h's as loaners but I haven't been able to get one yet.

got an ES350 swas equipped similar to the IS in terms of features, it didnt have XM but did have Navi no ML system either. i have to say i didnt like it at all. it was way too big for me, and i felt like i was driving my grandmothers car!
unfortunatly due to a hectic schedule i have to say props to the service department though. they told me i could pick up my car as late as 7pm and i was swamped with clients all day. i called the dealer and they gladly drove 15 miles in my car to my office, using the nav system! LOL.. to pickup the loaner and return it for me.
thats what i call service!

My first trip in I got an ES350, the second time I went in (for my dash vents moving by themselves, declined additional service) the gave me a base model 2007 Camry...god awful car, the third time I went in (for the front brake tsb, declined additional service) they gave me a 2005 Honda Accord. All times there more than enough Lexus rentals to have given me one, come to find out that they give you the car that they think your level of service warrants. So if you want a decent loaner from Lexus of Chandler looks like you have to cough up some dough for work on your car to get one...at least i got a loaner, that's alot more than I can say for the $35,000 that I spent with Dodge.

interesting, when i got my lexus the sales guy said their dealer only loans out lexus cars.
when i had an acura usually u get an Acura untill they dont have any more then they call dollar rental and you get a POS to drive!

in either case, your right a hell of a lot better than any domestic dealer ive seen.

I've had mostly ES and RX, but I had a GS300 and IS350 on one occasion each car.

True story: When I had the IS350 it was brand new, only 200 miles and a lady rear ended me in a '02 Jaguar. I was cool about it because she didn't hit me very hard and it was just the bumper and exhaust messed up a bit.
I got her info and told her not to worry I wasn't going to fake injuries but I would have to notify the dealer since it's their car.

Get this: She says "Oh just don't say anything then because it's a loaner". I told her "No way, this car doesn't belong to me and they're letting me drive it for free. Plus I'm being nice to you by not faking any injuries and you are being an idiot."
She saw I was getting mad but it didn't stop her from saying "Oh then just don't say anything until they notice it first." I got so pissed that I told her off. Here I am trying to be nice to her and she was trying to get me to scam the dealer. Unbelievable!

Was this for routine service or a continuation of your ongoing drama with the dealer for your paint? Is this going to go into your notebook for yet another reason they need to replace your car?
