Default My IS250 has yellow bug stain on clear bra from bug. How to remove??? *pic*

I just washed my car. I had particular bug splatter on my clear bra. After washing my car the bug left a small yellow stain on my clear bra. I tried washing over that spot with more pressure than normal and after washing I waxed that small area and that yellow stain is still there.

How can I remove this small yellow stain from the clear bra? I thought the clear bra should be stainless?? Doesn't make sense to me that the clear bra can stain so easily from bugs?

I know for sure it wouldnt have stained the paint because my previous car I did not have a clear bra and I never had any stains from bugs.

Can anyone suggest a method for me to get rid of the stain??

Here is a pic.

I would try using a rubbing alcohol and or goo be gone. that goo be gone gets everything up. just a little amount of one or the other should work. let me know if it fixes it.

I had a car bra that picked up those stains as well. They will sun bleach out in a week or so depending on how much time the car spends in the direct sunlight.
Unfortunately, I usually picked up a new stain in another area about the time the first one disappeared.
I think this is probably only happening on some lesser quality materials as I don't read about it (see people asking about it) much.

Regards,

Ron

Yeah, they disappear after a few days. When I first got the yellow stain, I wanted to complain to the installer but after a couple of days, it magically disappeared.

Thanks, I will try some rubbing alcohol and leave it outside for a bit since my car is always garaged.

I always used a plastic only cleaner called plexus. It is the absolute best thing for plastics. It does not discolor any plastics or clear bras. Used it for 1.5 years and it works better than anything, it also makes the clear bra very slick so bugs, tar, or anthing else does not stick to it as easy. Also use it with a microfiber towel and it also gets the little dirt line on the edge of the clear bra. Trust me and it is also cheap. $5-7 dollars a can.

I think the clear bra paid for itself already. I dont have even ONE rockchip. Couple weeks ago I was on the highway a piece of shredded tire flew up in the air and hit my right front bumper. I just couldnt wait to get home and see the damage. I just hoped there wasnt any dents.

When I came home there was a pretty big black streak mark on my clear bra. I just washed that part really fast and off it went. I'm sure w/o the clear bra I would of had small scratches.

Aerotect didn't tell you to use plexus once every 1-2 weeks? Francisco told me to in order to keep the bra clean and prevent any possible discoloring.

I use the Plexus too, it makes it easy to wash the bugs off but doesn't protect against these yellow bug stains. I was warned by the installer that these would happen and letting the sun bleach them out was the only way to remove them. I had to order my plexus online.

Plexus is the best cleaner and protectent product, for plastic, I have used. Some motorcycle Dealers carry it but it is very hard to find.
