Default Anyone have a bluetooth phone that works good w/ their car???

Right now i have a LG vx8700 from verizon... i love the phone but i think i'll need to switch it with something else because the bluetooth works like crap w/ my car.... it doesn't show caller id on my car when people call in... what pisses me off even more is that the bluetooth will only connect with my car when it wants to... half the time it won't... So i'm just wondering if anyone has a phone that works good with the bluetooth in the IS... the info on the lexus.com website is BS and isn't all true... so i just need to find out what phone works the best w/ the BT in our car... if anyone has one that works well please mention the phone in this thread... i'll really appreciate it... thanks!

Samsung U600, connects no problem. Every single time. My old Samsung D600 also connected perfectly. Only phone I had a problem with was my Nokia 8800.

I use a Nokia 6230.

Never once dropped a call. Never once did anyone complain about the quality of sound. Only a few times did people realize that I was driving while talking to them.

using a motorola SLVr w/AT&T (cingular) works great no link problems or call id issue, one thing about caller id tho, make sure that the number programed in your car's address book matches what is transmitted by your carrier. Can you see the incoming number at all?

though i don't have the navi unit since it is not offered in taiwan, but i do have BT functionality. I have a Sony Erricson P990I and have no problems whatsoever. Connects every single time.
I believe it has to deal with the carrier you use, but don't quote me on it

Verizon LG vX8100. Connects every single time, and is clear as can be. Those I speak with can't even tell I'm driving, or that I'm speaking via bluetooth.

The crippling that Verizon does is absurd. I get signal strength, and battery life to show up on the nav screen, but no caller id, unless I input the callers manually myself into the car.

Bluetooth disables whenever I try to move my phone book into the car.

Thanks Verizon for making me go through these hoops to get my phonebook transferred. It isn't like it won't get there, so why don't you just be a sport and enable this feature for me?
