What do you mean never getting to wash or wax your car? Have you looked at one or talked to people that have them? My car gets a professional detail at least once a month and they treat the part of the car with the clear bra the same as the rest of the car. YOU CAN WAX IT. And as far as painting goes, you will never get an exact match when you get your front repainted. And do you think that you can get your front bumper, hood, and both your fenders painted for $500.00? Just some things to think about.
Can you tell there is a clear bra on this...

I have said this before. My biggest regret is not getting my front bumper clear bra. My bumper looks like a disaster now, only after 8 months of ownership. If Lexus doesn't fix this paint issue then all cars should come from the factory with a clear bra front bumper.

+1 There seems to be a lot of misconception about clear bras.
They provide some level of protection. But door dings, wind shield chips, door pillar chips, paint oxidation, etc. are still an issue. All cars look like crap after a while. Cling wrap won't make much difference.
I commend the marketeers of the clear bra. Getting people to pay $500-$1000for cling wrap is pretty funny.

I have already been hit pretty bad by rock chips and i doubt a clear bra would have save my finnish.

Mine is about 60% warpped.
I will not get whole car clearbra.. because I can't afford it. I know a good job like that is around $10K; with custum trim and wrapping around the edges.
Check Premier Protective Films
Here is a sample pic... not using the pre-cut template.

It would cost more if a rock dinged your hood to repaint it, than to just use clearbra. And yes it has already happened, luckily the clearbra protected from the ding... it nicked a tiny piece of the plastic off.
I recommend it for any of my future cars.

The nick is VERY tiny considering the rock that went to my car on the freeway. It was at least a golf ball size rock, and it only did about a 1 mm hole. I'd rather have the nick than to repaint a Glacier Frost hood and pray it matches the paint. Besides, if you are 3-4 feet away, you'll have a hard time seeing the clearbra.

Good one. The buyers could not tell a new car from an old one. Frankly I don't think the bra made the difference. It was pure ignorance.

Of 1 million cars, maybe 25 have a bra. They are designed for high concourse vehicles not Toyotas. The same goes for the cermaic tint that eveybody is ga ga over.
Folks we have Toyotas not Ferraris. Save your hard earned money. In the end, you get to repaint your car and replace the bra. double whammy. And not one dealer will give you a dollar more in trade because you have a bra that costs $5 to make.
