Agreed, although stick is fun and provides for better rpm ranges, I would not want it in a Lexus either. Stick was fun in the Gen 1's, made a big difference and drove like a different vehicle.

I love driving manual!!! Auto is a bit boring for me and i love to shift gears. There is nothing wrong with a 6spd luxury car and matter of fact the ISxxx was a born race inspired car!

When I was buying my IS, I initially wanted a MT, but it only comes on the 250. Coming from a GS-R, I didn't want to get myself back into a car payment and just get 30 more HP than the car I was getting out of, so I went with the 350. Although most Lexus customers are people who would probably rather buy a car with an AT, they should also offer a MT. How are they going to compete with BMW like they say they are, and not offer it?

I don't know the exact numbers, but a good percentage of BMW's sold are equipped with manual transmissions, and I would say that BMW is considered a luxury nameplate.

I would've purchased an IS350 in manual in a second over my IS250 manual, but only if i could get it with navi and premium package without having to order it from the manufacturer.

Wink

If the 6MT were available as an option, I would still stick with the 6 or 8 AT.

The real problem is the Lexus marketing ***** only allowing certain option packages in certain markets as those ***** perceive them.

Heavily modified suspension on caster wheel setup that will rattle her (and your) teeth.

Originally I said I would buy the IS350 manual transmission if it were available, but after reading some of the comments lately on the IS250 transmissions I think I might pass unless Lexus puts in a better manual than the one in the IS250.
