Default Bluetooth: Anybody get LG VX8700 to show caller ID???

based on the tests done by lexus on certain phones shown on their website, just about every LG model they have on there can transmit caller ID information... lower and higher end models... however, i have a LG vx8700 and it won't show caller ID on my car... it just says "not supported" where the number is supposed to show... Anyone able to get caller ID display working??? it's terrible not knowing who is calling..

i think it only shows them for numbers in your phone's phonebook, and when you transfer it to the car pbook it will then show the name.

No, when your stopped (unless you have done the NAV hack) it will show the number of the caller even if they are not in your phone book. If I remember correctly that is...

Verizon has disabled this feature. It isn't a Lexus issue but rather a Verizon issue. I have a VX8100 and had to transfer numbers in manually. Caller ID is only based on the names I've entered manually.

All others simply show "Incoming Call".

I transferred the entire contact list from my phone to my IS 350 system...it still shows "not supported" from any call coming in, even from the numbers in the list. Any idea why this might be the case or how to get it working?

it sucks cause you still have to dig through your pockets to find the phone so that you can see who's calling... one of the big things i liked about bluetooth was not having to dig through pocket while driving... another issue i'm having is that the bluetooth isn't connecting every time... i'd say about 25% of the time it doesn't connect....
