Default touch of class option?

did anybody purchase this option with their car? is it worth the extra? I tried searching "touch of class" but didnt find anything.

also did anybody buy the GAP insurance from the dealership versus through their insurance?

I got the GAP insurance through my credit union.

Not sure what the "touch of class" is.

save yourself that few hundred dollars and buy zaino (or similar) products.

check out the detailing section for more info!

I got it! Cost me 840 (and that was a deal). DO NOT GET IT!!!!! Visit this link, read all the info there and take care of your car yourself!!! Dont waste your money! That crap wore off my car in a few weeks. Also never let the dealer wash your car! Lastly... if you are putting a down payment of anything around or over say 5k, dont worry about gap coverage!

Of all the things my dealer offered me i only took the extended warrenty and some door ding fix thingy. That paint thing/int. scotchguard'ish thing i passed on. Those are totally worthless. Don't misunderstand me, they are good, just that if you take regular care of your car you'll just be GIVING the stealership more of your money that can go for other things.

If you lease you definitely need the gap insurance.

They tried hard to sell me the tire insurance. I said, "Only if it covers dry rot."

I passed on everything.

He're's what I would do.

First, pass on the Touch of Class stuff. I'm not sure what it is, but if it's nothing more than a paint sealant or leather treatment, its a rip-off, especially from the dealer.

If you're leasing, you should get gap insurance, but I would not get it through the dealer. Check your auto insurance carrier -- they should have offer it for a lot less than the dealer. Keep in mind, some insurance carriers want you to have certain coverage limits before you can get gap insurance, so don't be surprised if they ask you to raise your limits.

The general rule of thumb is that ALL the stuff the dealer offers you is (1) overpriced, and (2) can be obtained elsewhere for less. It's all "impulse buy" stuff. Do your homework and you'll save a few bucks.
