Default Putting stretched tires on my IS...

Just ordered today! a set of Stern ST-II. They are 20x8.5 up front running Falken 452's 245/35/20. and in the rear 20x9.5 with 245/35/20 for a stretched look. What do you guys think? i can't wait to get them in!!!

245's on 9.5" wheels are still within most manufacturer's specs. They'll look a little stretched but it won't be too bad.

Possible negatives:
1. less curb and pothole protection
2. slightly reduced lateral grip

If you like the stretched look, go for it. However, if you're going to stretch the rears, you might consider stretching the fronts also.

^^^^^ do you think there is more chance of bending the wheels? I never am around curbs so i don't worry about "curbing."

With your specs, probably negligible. If you were going with 245's on a 10 or 10.5" wheel, then absolutely.

how much do you think it will change the over all diameter of the tire. Will it be a big difference from the front tire, since they are the same size just one is stretched

You want stretch you should have gone with 225 that would look sick but your outer lip would definitley stick out alot.

It looks sick but it's a look you get tired of real quick.
