In its original gunmetal finish, I like the G-Spiders. But when I saw the chromed X-PKG, I liked it more. I also saw a chrome G-Spider and I think the gunmetal is much better.

My IS came stock with the 17"s and i upgraded to the ISP's. My vote still went to the stock 18"s as they are my favorite but too costly to upgrade to (after the factory)

black powder coated wheels are most likely curbed wheel.
If i had gspyders and if it got damaged... I would powder coat them too.
But then again, i like the GS300 sport pack finish. Gunmetal.
So gunmetal gspyders for me.
But i got a set of X package on the way.

Uh, those aren't black G-Spiders on the silver 250, they look like BBS RS-GTs (which is also why I like G-Spiders).
One thing about the X-pkg wheel design is it shows alot of the brakes, so they may seem out of place on a 250 which has the smaller disc brakes . . .

Well according to the article on this car which Lexus had shown at the Australian Internal Motor Show last year, the wheels are "specially prepared for this vehical and are available in a polished alloy finish as accessory wheels to all IS250 owners." Still look like black g-spiders to me. Besides, the BBS RS-Gt's is a 2-piece wheel, which these don't appear to be.

I pick 17" because that will cut the bill in some way. I will use after market wheels for sure. Save the bucks this way.
