06 IS350 cold start grinding noise
Since a few weeks ago, my 06 IS350 has been making a loud grinding noise when first starting after it has been parked overnight or longer. if I turn off the car and start it again, the grinding noise isn't there. But when I park it after coming home from work and start it again the following morning, it grinds once again.
Has anyone experienced the same problem? Any idea what it could be?

I've had the same issue as have others. Search for posts by me and you'll find another thread with some information. I'm curious to know what they replaced. Update us with more. When I took mine into Lexus they said they could only reproduce the noise once and that they couldn't do anything about it. I think I'll take it in again. Please let us know if the replacement parts fix the issue.

I'd steer away from my car if I were the prospective buyer.

Don't know if you're talking to me but I'm using 5w30. Didn't know that Lexus issued the tsb to use 5w20.
I bought a case of the 20 weight for my next oil change but it doesn't look like it'll make much of a difference because tt said he's using 20 and still has the issue.
