Default Engine Noise(Not Ticking)

I have had my IS250(Auto) since Feb 06.
Recently Ive noticed that my engine makes a weird noise while accelerating. It doesnt sound clean, it sounds dusty. Seems like the engine oil contains dust or something. (I change my oil every 5-7k 5w-30).

When i brought my car in for its first service(1.5k), they gave me another IS250(auto) as a loan car. Ive noticed that the loan car's ticking noise is MUCH quieter than my car. Also, while accelerating, the loaner makes a high pitched Whinng noise instead of my engine's dusty noise.

Theres also one more thing that bothers me, its the transmission! Does everyone's auto tranny makes this really bad shift when slowing down from speed to 1st gear and then accelerate again. The rev goes up but it doesnt shift into 2nd gear fast enough so the car feels like it got pushed from the back by another car.

Has anyone experienced this with their engines? What could the problem be?

No I haven't had any of those problem, but I have a 350.

I haven't read of anyone else having that issue either. Don't tell me the 250s have the transmission flare!

i have the 350... i've read on this forum that everyone has noticed a hard shift coming from 1st to 2nd gear... but nothing like what your describing... i notice it myself too when going at slow speeds switching from 1st to 2nd you definately feel and know that it's shifting but i've never encountered a lag in it where rpms sky rocket and then finally shift. Seems to me that your also saying that your car jerks when it does this... i've never had my car jerk like that before either.

I don't know about the "dusty" sound. Maybe you need to redline it more. Considering all loaners are usually seeing high RPM's daily. muahaha.

The 1-2 shift, I know what your talking about. It's especially apparent when the car is at cold operating temp. It annoys the crap out of me. What I usually do is tap the gas and let it do the "rev" but I let go right away and gas it again.

I do redline my engine every now and then. But when you guys rev the engine to get rid off the carbons in the engine, how long do you guys rev it for? Is reving once to the redline enough? or a few times?

The dusty noise, also sounds like something is loose in the engine. The sound is more noticeable when the engine is cold, however, I can still hear that noise after the engine has warmed up(less noticeable)

You must have got the Power ECT on! turn it off, it shoud rev normal RPM again, saving gas too!

About the tranny prob, the rev doesnt go up too high, its just the change from 1st to 2nd gear after slowing down from speed is so rough. Ive also checked that im not on Power mode. However, i do find that while i am in Power mode, the changes are actually smoother... could it be something to do with the tranny shift program??

I seem to have
high pitched Whinng noise
coming from my engine, but only when it's not fully warm and it only lasts for a couple blocks and then it's gone. Wierd !!!
