Default Rims and Tire Pressure Sensors

Just wondering if you can use aftermarket sensors instead of the Lexus ones?? Also.... has anyone tired putting in the sensors in the spare tire or any other method of getting around this problem when installing aftermarket rims?

wouldn't it be easier and cheaper to swap stock sensors from ur stock wheels to ur new wheels? it's not that difficult and shops usually charge $10-$20 extra for each sensor.

Search on "wheelbarrow TPMS" and/or "Pipe TPMS" . I like the pipe idea better and may go that route.

Nav: Some of us put winter tires on our stock wheels and have a set of summer wheels/tires that we use for a few years before replacing the tires on a set of rims. Our computers also have 2 settings for 2 different sets of wheels---Lexus was actually thinking ahead. You only have to program the 2nd set once.
