Default Stock 17" to 18", do I need to re-program TPMS?

Hi.
I just bought a set of used 18" OEM wheels for my IS250, since I did not like my 17 inch wheels. Now, I am trying to find out if re-programming the TPMS is needed when I transfer them from my 17 inch wheels to 18 inch ones. I called one tire place and they said that I need to.
Also, are these bridgestone tires that come with 18 inch wheels as stock, all season tires?

If you transfer your existing sensors from your old 17" wheels to the new 18s, TPMS won't need to be reprogrammed. If you bought the 18" wheels with new sensors, you will need to reprogram TPMS. If the latter, make sure you get the numbers off the new TPMS sensors before you mount tires over them.

Your car can "memorize" two sets of TPMS. Just make sure that when you program the second set, you're differentiating it from the first set.

I think there is a way to do it using the Nav. It's in the Options Menu where you can calibrate the Nav.

I'm almost certain you're mistaken. The option you are thinking of is a "reset" that you can trigger after mounting new tires. It recalibrates the speed sensor pulses with the GPS, so that when the nav is running with out a GPS signal the speed sensor can accurately update your position on the map.

To enter a new set of TPMS sensors, you'll need to visit the dealer, or someone with a factory scan tool -- and you'll need to record the numbers off the TPMS sensors, preferably BEFORE you mount tires over them.

Thanks for your anaswers.
That Sears auto center guy sounded like he knew nothing about what he was talking about.
Anyways, I'm thinking if I should keep these wheels and tires or not, because the tires on the wheels are summer tires, which I just found out. My fault not checking them before buying them. Those tires for the rear wheels are pretty costly...

One more question.
Would the Toyota TPMS sensors off of Tacoma work on my IS? I mean, would the lexus dealer be able to program the toyota TPMS sensors?
