Current G35 coupe vs Lexus IS
#48
My only personal experience with Infiniti was the FX, which is not a car, so can't compare with regards to performance but can say without a doubt, the interior of my IS is so much higher in quality.

people who are accustomed to the refined and luxurious quality of IS's interior will find the current G35C's "cheap" (I am not familiar with the 2nd gen G35's interior--the coupe is not out anyway--but find the ceiling-facing NAV control awkward in the M and FX). The IS350 can easily beat a G35C in straight line without having to slip the clutch and work the notchy gear shift. The G35C "may" have a slight advantage in the twisties, but overall, IS350 is a much more balanced vehicle, albeit at a much higher price.

A corowker of mine actually have larger front wheels on his 06 Maxima. I'll have to tell him why he did that. Then I'll post here for that reason.
If you're comparing the IS350 to the G35's, the IS is definitely a much better car--luxury wise. Performance, they're about the same with the G35 adding a LSD.
The IS250 is all luxury, but performance wise--Lexus should've added a bit more HP. I guess they want a big gap between the IS250 and the IS350 to meet everyone's needs.

That's because the Maxima is a Front Wheel Drive car. And by larger, it should be wider (and I guess it can be bigger in diameter too).
