The solution lies in the manual.

it's very important that you know this else you could find yourself stranded or going someplace to find a battery. i think you hold the keyfob up close to the ignition and there is just enough power left....I have my manuals in my car so if this were to happen to me, I would look it up or called Lexus services for help...but everyone should really know this.

I've posted the answer a couple of times in the past, but nobody seems to be in a searching mood today.

No need for any power to be left in the key fob battery. The backup is passive RFID - hold the fob next to the start switch and it will be powered by the reader in the car. More in my original post here: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...2&postcount=21

this is what i said "i think you hold the keyfob up close to the ignition and there is just enough power left"

just because it's not exactly spot on and the most perfect answer doesn't mean it is useless and non-constructive.

just for the record, i recognize that is doesn't help to say read the manual but it doesn't help to waste everyone's time either by evaluating the content of posts. for the new year, why don't everybody just chill out.

I understand why there are hating. People are tired of answering the same question multiple times and especially questions that can easily answered by reading the manual. Anyway, you guys turned this thread into a funny one so cheer to that

I assume everyone is either

a) Still hung over from Sunday Night

or

b) Pissed off that they have to be at work today

Happy New Year to everyone!
