I actually used that method, its really easy. The sensor is behind the rear driver side wheel. Need a 10mm socket. Once slightly loose, adjust the screw down for HID level to move up. I found more info on this in the suspension area somewhere after ppl kept having issues with AFS after lowering their cars. I think its similar in the GS model.

Can you post a pic of how low you actually went with the screw?

Sorry to bring back a dead thread. But is there an answer to this question?

Yes. Both multiple times in this thread and in your owners manual under headlight adjustment.

It's in there. Under the DIY maintenance- Headlight Aim section.

You can read that section yourself from an 06 manual here:

http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums...howtopic=25999

Page 309 specifically in that years manual (or in that PDF)

You did it wrong then... there's 2 for each headlight.

The same headlights go on the 250 and 350.

You might have "fixed" the aim up/down but you've now misaligned the aim left/right in doing so if you only used 1 screw per headlight.

Did you look at page 309 in the PDF I linked you to? It shows the location of both bolts A and B and that you need to adjust both the same number of turns for each headlight.

IIRC for the second one you'll only see the hole to put the screwdriver into, not the bolt itself.

I am still confused with the clockwise, counterclockwise thing.

If I want to move up the light, do i turn the screw driver counter clockwise to make the screw clockwise. Or the other way?
