Well, here we go.....04152-YZZA3 as confirmed by Tustin Lexus (Tustin, CA) and (since I wanted to be sure) Newport Lexus (Newport Beach, CA). I even have a friend in the parts dept. at Newport who confirmed A3 as being correct. I sure don't want to get into this and then have the wrong one for my IS350. Maybe I'll poll all the Lexus dealers here in So. Cal. and then go with the filter that wins the most votes/guesses.
I've had the same dealer (Jim Falk Lexus) use two different part #'s, 04152-31060 and 04152-YZZA3. This last time when I changed the oil & filter myself I used the Sewell Lexus offered part # 04152-YZZA2. They're more than likely different manufacturing batches of the same part, but I'm only guessing. I couldn't find anywhere in the service manual or TSB where it mentioned a specific part number for the filter element to be used.
Cajunboy - get them from Sewell here. You're in Texas, so the 10% off internet orders won't do you much good if you have it shipped - I always just go pick it up in person. Another alternative would be to write down all the part numbers you need, and call a Toyota dealership if there's one closer to you. They can order the parts and you can pick them up there, too.
How much is the oil filter and the air box filter? i need to do am oil change soon.
Try www.irontoad.com. I just ordered some IS350 filters, etc, there, and they were cheaper than Sewell. Of course, you have to add shipping, but if you don't live close to a dealer, it's cheaper than driving to pick them up.
cabin filter $24, oil filter kit 4.33, air filter 23.83, drain plug gasket .80. Shipping to TX was 13.xx. (have not yet recvd them).
Most performance mods need a watch and timed course to demonstrate actual improvement. Few deliver the advertised claims. Many are actually worse than stock. The best performance mods are made to the driver.
