Default GRRR...Think I'm going '07 Range Sport

I've had my '06 is250 awd blk/blk prem package...for nearly a year. I was going to go '07 is350 blk/blk lux package nav + ml and x-package rims (4 month wait)...but i think i'm sick and tired of a car. And i'm not waiting 4 months. What do you guys think of the range sport? I was thinking White exterior/black interior...$55k. Well 55 is the deal i can get...

If you've got the money to blow (of it you're just running your life off credit) do whatever you want. Why bother to ask a question like that here?

Range Sport is a mean machine, if you have the $ for it, do it. But like stated above, both are different cars.

I think it range rovers and land rovers are some of the ugliest suvs out there, but its a great off roader with lots of power. If you like it get it is what I think. It'll be faster than your IS250 too. For me its not am SUV I'd like to own, plus land/range rover doesn't exectly have a stellar reliability record.

I was also considering Range Sport (Supercharged) until I drove one. It felt "loose" and "floaty" and didn't have enough power even with the supercharger. I am told that it's bigger brother (Range Rover) feels much different since it's not on LR3 platform... I say if you have $55K + to spend, wait until the new X5 V8 gets released

I worked at a Lexus dealer in Chicago for 4 years we used to get them in trade all the time. i dont know about the new ones but every one the used car department got in and sold to some one they came back many times complaining that it was a lemon.

oh and I forgtot I had a frend that worked at a Rover dealership he was a mechanic and he really missed his job there (lots of hours) he did well.

i also new one guy with one and he never had any problems with his first one and then he got a newer one i think the bigger model and turned it in under the lemon law.

who knows you may get a good one.

which ever way you go good luck.

That's exactly what I was going to say. RRS has no sport in it. It's a great looking car tho. Wait for next E70 X5 with 4.8L V8. But it wont be 55k.

A friend of mine is a finance mgr at a Rover dealership and she constantly tells storys about how shocked people are when they bring those bad boys in for service $$$$$$$.
If you want an SUV by an LX470.
However, those RR Sports haul azz!!

Koz beat me to it... Consumer reports and (i think) car & driver rate the land rovers as very unreliable and my buddy has a discovery thats in and out of the shop every month. They look alright, but its more or less junk compared to all the others on the chart in the previous post.
