Default Broken Cd player?

I was driving in my car today and there was nothing on the radio so I decided to switch to CD player and to my surprise nothing happened. I thought it was loading the CD but 20 minutes later still nothing. When I looked down at the screen it was flashing ERROR 3. So I tried to eject all the CD and turn off the head unit to reset it but still nothing. It wont even eject the CD. All there is on the screen is ERROR 3. Does anyone else have had this problem before? Should I call Lexus or should I bring to a dealer to have it checked out. Because right now the CD player is just flashing ERROR 3 and is completely dead.

I would take the 2006 IS250 to the dealer for their opinion. It's a warranted item.

Put a mark Levinson sticker on there... if you find one! If you have the nav... maybe you will be able to play DVDs =)

I have the same problem, My cd-changer can stop play in the middle of an track or stop operating when it changes a cd. I talked to my servicecontact at my dealer, and he told me that they are going replace the cd-changer as soon as they get a new unit.

The trick that works for me to remove the cd's ist to press the eject button until it beeps to eject all cd's and when the display say's "Eject" i softly with a closed fist bang the left side of the centerconsole next to the cd slot. Then you can hear that the changer start to work and the cd's are ejected.

I have got the Error 3 message about four times. So now i'm waiting to have it replaced.

Hmm I guess a little bit of elbow grease is always the way to go. I've already went to the dealer and they will replace the unit as soon as the order comes in next week. Seems a bit disappointing to see the cd just stop working all of the sudden. I hope nothing else is like this.
