Default OH NO! Scratched my Baby!

Running late, in a hurry pulling into a parking spot and scrunch. Scratched the hell out my lower bumper(spoiler). Outside of having the piece replaced, any suggestions on repair?

Replaced??? Just needs a repaint.
Sorry to hear about this. I've been there. Don't you just hate it when you cause it yourself?

For sure! I feel like an idiot. I detail the car constantly, never use it in bad weather and keep it garaged. Hell, I only have about 6k on it and have had it since October!!

Default I gouged my back bumper

Coming out of a friends twisty driveway, and hit a decorative rock arrangement. Wasn't watching my back up camera.

I have used Carmax before on my GX470, and they are going to fill in, sand, prime and repaint with OEM paint for $275.

Dopn't know if they're in your area, but they've done a good job for me before.

good point I think with CL discounts it ends up being in the 370ish range for the front lip...might be cheaper than a respray of your stock?

I feel your pain, I just got hit on saturday (rear ended while waiting at a stop), not much damage but a couple of estimates call for new bumper, repaint, $800.

same thing happened to me but not quite so scratched up. on a black car, it is not as noticable when the scratches are gray...i left it alone. i keep looking for it when i approach my car and it's not that easy to see. i would say at least give it a few weeks to see how you feel about it (and to see if you hit the curb again)....it took me awhile to figure out you just don't pull into ANY space too far with the 2is low front.

Would you like one of us to drive over to your house and get the car repaired for you?

I just don't look at it!! Today, I am going to get some estimates from body shops to repair it. I am pretty sure I can get the lip from Lexus for around $120 and then with a little touch-up paint , do the bottom of the bumper. Total would be arond $140. I would prefer to have a body shop do the work that way it will be perfect. I'll have to see what they will charge.

Two estimates yesterdy with one at $550 in which they would take the entire bumper and lip off and do repair and the other at $150-200 in which they would repair lip and touch up bumper. Said it would be 90-95% good as new. Love my car, but can't see spending $500+ for repair, so I am going to go with the lower priced repair. If it doesn't turn out, I'll complain and get it right since 90-95% is subjective.
