Default Free Car Washes (the free dealer gift

As I read through some of the threads on this site I noticed that a lot of people Commenting on the fact that the dealer "hooked them up" with free car washes as a gift for buying the car. Now this isn't to bag on the people that are getting the free washes but to just let everybody out there know that may not. All Lexus dealerships give complimentry car washes anywhere in the country. This is something that I found after I bought my 1st Lex at a Toyota dealer used. I used to take my to take my car to a Bell Lexus in AZ and the service manager let me know that anytime I wanted to get my car washed just take it to a dealer and ask to get it washed. No need to get it worked on to get it washed. This is just something that I wanted to share in case there might be some people out there that did not know.

Yeah, its nice to know its there. As long as I keep their license frame on, I get free car washes at my dealer.
Its five mins away from house too, kinda cool. I have only gone a couple of times to get it washed. The dealer uses a very high tech brushless car wash.

I still rather do it myself though.

You misunderstood the OP.

He's saying ANY Lexus dealer will give you a free car wash, without any conditions, if you drop it off and tell them to do so.

ANY Lexus dealer will do this - you don't need to buy it at that dealership to have them give you the free car wash.

It's a Lexus benefit.

Yes, and my dealer in NorCal, Lex of Marin gives a very good wash. I carry a towel, and drive around the corner to get the last drips, but the wash is (almost) as good as I can do.

Just had mine washed during my 5k service, it was ok, except they did a terrible job cleaning the wheels and no wax...but oh well, it's free.
