Default techinfo/techdocs.lexus.com costs money?

http://techinfo.lexus.com/

from their FAQ:

Code:
How much does a subscription cost?
Subscription access to TIS is offered in daily, monthly, or yearly intervals following the rate schedule noted below:
Daily $10.00 US
Monthly $50.00 US
Yearly $350.00 US
NOTE: All subscriptions expire at midnight, Pacific Time on the last day of your term. This means a one-day subscription may actually provide greater than 24 hours of usable access.
everyone talking about this site in another thread, do you guys have accounts and pay for it, or am i missing something? is there also a free option?

thanks!

Yes it costs money.

Whoever has access actually paid. I did. If you have a very fast connection, just get the 24 hour access and download everything to keep. But it's alotta pages.

Dude, that's copyright infringement Besides the fact that it's illegal, it's an easy way to get banned from ClubLexus... Come on, guys, it's $10 for a day's worth of access. I'm gonna do the $50 monthly option and take my time downloading everything I can...

Javier

The correct URL is http://techinfo.lexus.com/

Anyone who has ever layed out the cash for a paper or CD-ROM service manual knows that they are expensive, typically at least $100. Viewed in that light, the cost of a short-term subscription to TIS isn't really that bad.

I did a one day to see some things and browse around.

It has EVERYTHING on there.

I assume there is at LEAST 500+ pages worth of PDF files to download.

Personally, I would just pay the $10 for 24 hour access just when I happen to need something or take apart something I'm not familar with.

i'm trying to find the pin-out diagrams

i found the technical one but it doesn't explain WHAT each pin does.

someone else on here (in one of the threads) had an exact writeup of what each wire does... where is that doc under techinfo.lexus.com? i paid for access... going to be useless if i can't find it

Oooo hey... if you're there can you see if theres the pin out / schmatics for the center console shifter? I want to reverse my up and downshift.

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=229801

I'll pay the $10 if they actually have it up there.. but if they dont I dont want to waste $10 to find nothing.

dude they have -everything- there

information overload, actually.

i'm trying to find a simple mapping of what pins do what - all i've found so far is an actual technical diagram of the wiring for the NAV/etc. - not like "pin 11 and 12 are for nav, pin 13 and 14 are for backup camera" - like someone had posted in another thread. still trying to track down that document.

i just got done mirroring the entire 2006 IS350 list of documents. 698 total. i'd rather have them local for easy searching rather than getting charged for a "possibility" and having to use their somewhat ghetto site (usability wise)

If you do find that section can you share the pin out for the center console shifter with me?
