My tint looks awful :(
So i've had my tint job for about a week, gave it time to dry out and everything, and now i'm noticing little dust particle bubbles forming. There is on in particular in the middle of my passenger side window as well as a whole bunch of bubbles in the back window down low where they seem to have done a poor job reaching it. I just called my tint guy, and he gave me BS about how it might be glass/tint/solution imperfections and how if they tried it again it might make the tint even worse. I should make him redo it regardless right? I am entitled to a perfect tint job?
This guy is really pissing me off, he quoted me 220 OTD for solargard, and when i got there and did all the paperwork he added tax to make it like 240 On top of that he ruined one of my pillars... Hope everyone else has a better experience =/

Guess i'll have to take it over there in person to show him. He said he had to bring in a specialist to install the tint the first time around and now he has to bring him in again :X
lol
I really should have searched for a better place

Where are you in CA? I got a pretty crappy job done on my tint too. I live in San Diego and I got it done in Pacific Beach. He messed up my rear windshield and cut out a piece for the brake light to see through but it was ugly and not even straight. He gave me crap on how I should wait 30 days before I fixed it but everyone else I talked to said to fix it ASAP. So I got the rear fixed at another place and it looks great. As for the other windows, its been a little over three weeks and I still see bubbles and a few lines in the tint, maybe it got scratched or something. I dunno but they said bring it in after 30 days to check it out and get anything fixed. But so far I'm not happy with it. They also messed up the driver door pillar and put a few chip marks on the inside rubber door part on the same door.
I think you should bug them until you get it the way you want. You paid for it, you're entitled to a good job. Good luck!

Well I'm in San Diego and I got mine done at Sea-Side's Classic Window Tinting in Pacific Beach. Don't go there! I went to Diamond Auto Sound in Miramar and it was done nicely. If the tint doesn't get fixed at the original place, I'm gonna take it to Diamond where I got the rear windshield done.

I remeber asking the guy that installed mine if it was a hard car to tint and he said no, but, that it was a little difficult to get the tint behind the little speakers on the front windows.
Mine turned out perfect. I just got the "run of the mill" charcoal tint.

I had one piece of lint on my passenger door that was near the window frame...it bothered me for about a day, but now it takes me a few seconds to find it when I look from the outside so I didn't break the guy's chops about it.

For all you guys in San Diego go to www.topdogwindowtinting.com give Chuck a call. It has been a few years since we hung out but his work is top notch. If you talk to him tell him Scott De Groot says hi.
P.S you won't be disappointed.

Sounds to me like the imperfections are most likely not in the glass, tint, or solution... but in the WORKMANSHIP.
I'd take it back - either he does the work to your satisfaction, or he refunds you the money so you can take your business elsewhere.
