Show me your tint!!
So 9am Tommorrow morning I have an appointment to get my windows tinted . I haven't had a car with full tint all the way around in about 15 years so I'm pretty excited. I plan on going 20 percent all the way around and 50 percent on the windshield. I would love to see some awesome tint pics if anyone has any, especially if you car is Navy blue ! Help build up the anticipation!!!

Night driving is somewhat challenging, I find myself rolling the windows down when cautious curbs are near. I'm used to 4x4's and 35" tires which roll up over the curb. Not the case with a lowered IS and front lip. I'll rip off the front bumper.
my 2007 SGM is350
22% Silhouette Charcoal on all sides and rear, nothing up front.
Exterior - garage lighting.
Front - no tint - from the inside:
Driver side - from the interior 22%
Drivers side - from the exterior 22%
Passenger side - interior, no tint on front - 22% on side

Black Lexus Is 350 Window Tint Suggestions- 2nd Gen
I have an obsedian Black Lexus is 350 with black F sport Wheels. I'm getting my windows tinted soon and now looking for opinions on what % tint to get. I want privacy but also don't want it to be too dark like "gangster" and I do want to keep it classy. Problem is I have light interior so a darker tint is kind of necessary, but I dont want to attract too much attention from the popo as I do live in CA. Here is what I'm thinking...
Option A) 30% back, 30% front (or 35%?)
Option B) 20% back, 35% front (wondering if the different shades for front and back windows will look odd)
Option C) Something else...
Thoughts?
*taking into account the black wheels too.. i'm mainly going for looks with this tint job*

5% back windshield. 20% the back windows and depending your state law nothing on the front. The 5% will darken the appearance of the sides. Watch while they tint and decide to do the front after you see the back. Just did my gs400 like that and my is300 is done that way except 10% quantum instead black

I went with 5% all the way around (except the windshield). Black is 350 f sport with the typical f sport rims. It's definitely dark but I think it adds an executive look to it rather than gangster.

I've got 15% on mine (not black IS though, it's white). My only feedback is the following: the darker the better, really. Also, the darker the harder it is to see on poorly lit streets.

What is legally allowable in California? Google your legally allowable tint to confirm. A good tint shop will not only tell what will keep you legal to avoid unwanted attention, they will be able to tell you which specific brand looks best on your color. Different brands have different color variations beyond the degree of tint. (Per my local shop that had over 50 perfect scores on Yelp).
