For all those who tinted their IS: was there any special tinting procedure required to tint the IS? I saw on one thread in the care and detailing section that said the IS requires the door panels be taken off for tinting.

yes, the front door panels should be taken off as our tweeter blocks full acces to the window. the installer runs the risk of bubbles if he can't get back there. it's only 2 screws to remove, just make sure he uses protection on the door handle.

My installer was able to do the tinting without removing the door panels. He started to and then thought and said he had a squeegy that would fit back there and sure enough he did it w/out removing the door panals and over a year now... no problems / bubbles.

In no specific order, I tinted to reduce heat, reduce glare during night driving (yeah, the rearview mirror does help with that), increase privacy while parked, and because...it looks good. Well, it does to me. What other reasons do others have?
What do you know tint looks pretty good on white color. I might just do it. Man I keep spending money on this car.
So how much it would cost all around plus the front windshield? It would be quite expensive right? that's why most people don't tint the windshield.

I think people don't tint the front windshield because it's illegal in most states, at least below the ASI line.

Tint looks cool on all colors.. and the darker the tint the cooler it looks
I did mine for $200 total, kinda expensive though. but I'm living in Dubai, so I'm guessing the prices in the states are different.
