A friend of mine's girlfriend just bought a brand new 06 BMW 325 i from Germany.I gotta say that although I love the new Bimmers the interior is way under the 06 IS.I dont know it looks like an 01 interior instead of an 06.The Navi screen looks outdated,the gadgets didnt impress me at all and the leather was just....blah.I dont know if its b/c he bought it in Germany or what.I had my IS parked next to his 325 i and we were comparing gadgets and stuff.He clearly stated that my IS was a step ahead of his 325 i.There are two things the 325 i had that I wished the IS had.1-at the push of a button(on the key fob) the side mirrors fold in(that was too sick)and 2-all door handles lite up wit LED lights which was nice also.Other then that I'm not that impressed and glad that I bought my IS.O by the way he got a kick out of the Mark Levinson 6 disc dvd changer..... .Has aonyone else been in the new 06 3 series??

I think the interior is a bit too conservative for what the 3-Series is supposed to be. The 3 is a sporty compact performance car for a younger population that crave a little bit of technology, design, and luxury. But BMW definately missed the mark by sticking with a traditional (and outdated) looking interior that is not groundbreaking compared to other cars in its class. And although some interiors of cars use lesser quality materials, at least they stand out and are user-friendly. I like the fresh interior of the Yaris more than the 3-Series...

Test Drove one before i got the IS the only thing i didnt like about the 3 series is the Dash board without the navi. tooo plain.

What's up with that BMW? I see the iDrive controller, but no nav screen.

Much of what I disliked about the interior of the 3 isn't apparent in the picture, e.g., leather that felt more like vinyl.

The only thing that bugs me about the 2IS is the cheap-o looking steering wheel.

honda fits interior is very good for a 15k car also almost acura like but its in a 15k car

There's no accounting for taste. I think the 2IS steering wheel is probably the best looking and feeling of ANY car I've ever driven. Much better than the 1IS.
